Otherstory aims to tell through puppetry the stories of outsiders and the powerless, that run counter to the narratives of the powerful and their project of erasing other histories. Stories that connect us to each other across place and time. We want to invite and support others to tell their stories in the recognition that we are all storytellers.

Otherstory conceives, produces and performs puppet shows and installations, and runs participatory workshops. We have built large street puppets with community groups and for festivals. We sometimes design and make puppets or installations for theatre companies and others.

Otherstory has run projects involving community and campaign groups, radical and local history groups, youth organisations and schools as well as the general public.

We are a not-for-profit collective of independent artists based in Mivart Studios in Easton, Bristol and have been working together since February 2010.
